World Stroke Day is observed on October 29 to underscore the serious nature and high rates of stroke, raise awareness of the prevention and treatment of the condition, and ensure better care and support for survivors.
BMMSH, Ranchi celebrated World Stroke Day on 29th Oct’15 where the Neuro Team, headed by our Medical Director & Neurosurgeon, Dr. Sanjay Kumar addressed the audience with the various types of stroke, its effects and how to act timely to avoid any serious complications. There was a great deal of enthusiasm among the audience as they listened carefully what the Doctors said and also participated in the quiz which happened after this interactive session and won prizes.
In the evening, a CME was organized where Dr. Sanjay gave a presentation on various forms and complications and care regarding stroke. Dr. Vijay Kumar Mishra discussed a case history of Thrombolysis and showed how a patient who suffered stroke was brought to the hospital within the specified time and was saved.
