Sargam Pandey survived a near-fatal accident on the night of 24th October when his motorcycle rammed into a parked truck. Due to the high speed of the vehicle and the impact, a sharp-edged piece of metal from the truck cut open Pandey’s upper body, exposing his heart and lungs. He was rushed to Bhagwan Mahavir Medica Superspecialty Hospital in an unconscious and Hypoxic state. His punctured lungs were leaking air and this was causing a dip in the oxygen level in the body. The doctors used the modern TA Staplers to stitch the wound in his chest thus controlling blood loss immediately and effectively. The Thoracic Surgery took around two and a half hours and he was on life support for 5 days post that.
